# Change community username

Hi, how do I change my community username? It defaulted to my business name and I would not like that to be public. Can you change my username to something random or delete my account so I can create a new one with a private username? Thank you!

Hey @outreachmagic! Your community username matches your Vercel **account username** (which can be different from your business **team name**). You can [change your username](https://vercel.com/guides/how-do-i-change-my-vercel-username) in your Vercel account settings and the new username will sync with your community profile the next time you log in.
