# Failed to add domain due "domain is linked to another Vercel account"

I want to put live a project, but I failed to add the domain. It says it's linked to another Vercel account. The old developer made sure to delete it from his account and transferred the domain to me from the domain provider.
The website is urgent and the domain provider only allows dns nameserver settings
NB: The old developer removed the domain from his Vercel account and even removed the old project, and he verified it.

the system says that they have to check and maybe manually unlink the domain since the old develloper has removed it from his account
