# How do I connect v0 to Vercel?

Hello all,

I am really hoping that someone can help me find out how I get email support. I am on the premium plan but when I try to create a support ticket for v0 it just tells me that my plan does not allow for support. I am really needing help and have no way of getting it right now.

My main issue is that I have multiple v0 chats that are linked to the wrong Vercel projects. I need to move these chats to their correct projects, but I’m unable to do so. When I go to the project settings and click the settings cog to access the Overview section, the “Unlink Vercel project” option is greyed out and unavailable. Additionally, I don’t see a “Reassign Project” option in the chat settings menu, and the project selector appears to be inaccessible. I can see my correct projects listed in my v0 settings, but there’s no way for me to move the chats to the correct project. I need the ability to either unlink the current Vercel project connection or reassign the chats to different v0 projects.

Right now I cannot make any changes to my projects because the environment variables are linked to the wrong Vercel project and I have no way to move them to the right project.

I really need help sorting this out. In the past I could just click on the setting button in my v0 chat and link/unlink the v0 project to any Vercel project.

Any help would be very very appreciated.

Hey! I’m sorry you’ve had this experience.

*Could you try re-linking through v0 Project Settings?*
Navigate to the project (not individual chat) settings, look for the settings cog → Overview section then try to unlink and re-link the Vercel project from there.

The environment variables issue is directly related to the incorrect project linking. Once you establish the correct connection, your env vars _should_ be accessible again.

Let us know how you get on!

Hello Pauline,

Thank you for your reply.

I have no settings cog when I view any of my projects within the v0 project settings. When I click on any project it it gives me the option at the top to “visit”, “view on Vercel”, or “New Chat”. Also, all of my projects say “This deployment was not initiated from a commit.”.

I also tried to unlink the project within the v0 chat, but the “Unlink Vercel project” option is greyed out with the message ”To disconnect from this project, duplicate into a new project instead.”. I went ahead and duplicated a project, but then I have no option to add it to an existing project because my projects are not listed in the drop down menu when I try to add it to one, I only have the option to create an entirely new project.

I’m not sure what to do because since my Vercel projects are all now connected to the wrong project in v0 I cannot make any changes or deploy them for my client.

How about on Vercel itself, can you see this button? If so, when you click on it, does it take you to the right chat?

Pauline,

No, none of my Vercel projects have the “Open in v0” button like the one in your image, even though I built and deployed all of them from v0.

Pauline,

Something else I want to point out is that all of my projects show a ton of redeployments on 12/6/2025 that I did not initiate (see screenshots below). The deployments that I did actually initiate for my projects show the “view code” and “open in v0” options under the “deployment” tab within Vercel, but all of the deployments from 12/6/2025 have no such option. Some of my projects have 20-30 deployments on 12/6/2025 that I did not initiate and I have no idea where they came from.

I switched back to the old navigation to match your screen and yeah, the Open in v0 button shows up here for me:

I recall that these redeploys are related to the [CVE security incident](https://community.vercel.com/t/security-advisory-for-react2shell/29095), so that explains those redeploys. It aligns with the dates as well.

Can you share the chat link and the corresponding vercel deployment link with me? I'll surface it to the team. Will DM you.

Pauline,

Should I message you the links in this thread or is there a way for me to share them with you privately?

Sent you a DM!

Hey! To help debug your v0 project, could you share your **v0 chat link**?
It looks like `https://v0.app/chat/...` — you can copy it from your browser's address bar while in the chat.

You'll also need to unlist the chat so our team can view it — here's how: https://v0.app/docs/sharing

This helps the team reproduce what you're seeing much faster. Thanks!
