# How to protect Vercel Hobby plan projects from malicious traffic spikes

## Problem
I’m experiencing what appears to be a malicious traffic attack on my project `Vespa`.

## Current Behavior
- About 1-2 hours ago, I noticed a sudden spike in traffic.
- Another spike occurred approximately 17 minutes ago.
- My usage jumped to almost 50% of my `Hobby plan` limit within minutes.
- This traffic appears to be malicious/automated, not legitimate users.

## What I’ve Tried
- I attempted to block all traffic through the `Firewall`.

## My Concerns
- The malicious traffic is being counted toward my usage limits.
- I’m worried about hitting my limits or being charged for illegitimate traffic.

## Questions
1. Is there any way to get this malicious traffic excluded from my usage?
2. What’s the best way to protect my project from future attacks on the `Hobby plan`?
3. Are there any additional `Firewall` settings I should configure?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
