# IP address block in Spain

A Spanish court has allowed LaLiga to block IP addresses linked to illegal football streaming. However, the ruling doesn’t differentiate between illegal and legal services, causing some legitimate websites to become inaccessible in Spain.

The ISPs are blocking entire IP ranges with major collateral damage to lawful businesses like [TinyBird](https://www.tinybird.co/), [Hello Magazine](https://www.hellomagazine.com/), and many other sites operating on Vercel, Cloudflare, GitHub Pages, and BunnyCDN.

Vercel has a dedicated [abuse team](https://vercel.com/abuse) and actively removes illegal, malicious, and infringing content.

Users shouldn't be blocked from legitimate websites because of the actions of a private entity. We're working to restore access for Spanish users and continuing to advocate for an open web.

For more information, we have an update on the blog that digs deeper into the current situation.

I also can’t believe a company would trademark “Dev mode” and enforce it, but hey, here we are
