# Missing lock/unlock feature on v0 code editor files

## Problem
The feature to lock/unlock a file is missing from the new `v0` code editor.

## Current Behavior
It is impossible to modify (manually or via the chat prompt) files that were locked in the old code editor because the toggle is missing.

## Impact
I’m completely stuck; there’s no workaround for editing these files.

I can confirm lock/unlock is removed, but if your files are stuck in a permanent locked state then that sounds like a bug. While I wait for the v0 team to get back to me, you might be able to unblock yourself by duplicating the chat which should reset the locked status

I tried duplicating chat but the chat response is the same:

Right-clicking on the fr.json file in the file tree under app/translations/

Selecting “Unlock”

Once you’ve unlocked the file, I’ll be able to replace it with the updated French translations from your attachment.

@jacobparis  Please, do you have an ETA for fixing this bug?

Because we can’t continue with our project if this bug isn’t fixed.

And we won’t wait long, we’ll need to switch to a new tool unfortunately.
