# New Vercel Academy Course: Production Monorepos with Turborepo!

Today we’re launching a new course: [Production Monorepos with Turborepo!](https://vercel.com/academy/production-monorepos)

Well before the birth of Turborepo and well before I worked at Vercel, I taught a lot of engineering onboarding courses. The goal of these courses was to make sure that engineers were confident to commit code to their monorepo by the end of their first day at the company. Kind of a stressful proposition at the time!

Custom configuration. Lots of questions and fear around how to avoid breaking things. Repos duct taped together with the tools of the day. But now, Turborepo makes monorepos manageable.

In the course, we’ll build **GeniusGarage**, a code snippet management platform for developers. GeniusGarage brings your apps together while maintaining clear boundaries and using Turborepo's intelligent caching for blazing-fast builds.
