The Vercel GitHub App is installed. 2. Repository access is set to All repositories. 3. The GitHub repository appears connected in Vercel Project Settings → Git. 4. The Git repository is accessible through authenticated Git. 5. Both a Git-sourced deployment and a CLI-sourced deployment failed with the same Git information retrieval error. **Current production deployment:** `dpl_ABHHXcpgcTnoLUah5EJ71WMWpM51` The existing production deployment is Ready and serving our website normally. Could you please investigate the cause of this Git information retrieval failure and advise how to restore deployment functionality without disconnecting the repository or disrupting the current production deployment? Thank you. Ckh2100 3416 (@ckh2100-3416) · 2026-10-15 Additional diagnostic findings: I checked the failed deployment `Eae6YYspK` (commit `5193a61`) in more detail. - The Source tab successfully displays repository files, including `package.json`. - The Output tab shows: "Deployment Failed — The deployment failed; no output was created for your deployment." - No Build Logs section is visible in the deployment details. - The deployment duration is shown as `—`. - The error remains: `Git information retrieval failed for this deployment.` - Our existing production deployment is still Ready and serving the website normally. The GitHub App permissions and Vercel Git connection have already been checked. Both Git-sourced and CLI-sourced deployments have encountered this error. Could the Vercel team investigate the Git metadata retrieval or deployment initialization failure and recommend a fix that does not require disconnecting the repository or disrupting the existing production deployment? Thank you. Ckh2100 3416 (@ckh2100-3416) · 2026-10-15 **Follow-up: Production deployments blocked — request for Vercel staff investigation** Hi Vercel team, Could a Vercel staff member please review this issue? New Production deployments have been blocked since October 12, while the existing Production deployment remains healthy. We have completed additional read-only diagnostics: - Failed deployment: `dpl_Eae6YYspKe9dDnDSh6AcjSSDHcLc` - Error code: `git_info_fail` - The deployment events API returns `[]` (zero events). - No build output or build logs were generated. - GitHub App permissions, repository ID, commit SHA, and project linkage are consistent. - The CLI failure was a redeployment of the same failed Git deployment, not an independent source upload. **Could someone with access to Vercel's internal logs identify the exact failure and advise on a safe recovery procedure?** Please avoid recommending repository disconnection or changes that could affect our existing Production deployment. This is time-sensitive because all new releases are currently blocked. Thank you. Amy Egan (@amyegan) · 2026-10-15 Please double check that the Vercel GitHub app is connected to the correct team with permission to your project. And make sure the commit metadata matches your account. You can update it with `git config user.email "your.email@example.com"` if needed. Please give that a try and let me know if you still get an error on your deployment Ckh2100 3416 (@ckh2100-3416) · 2026-10-16 Hi Amy, Thank you for your response. We have already verified the following: 1. The Vercel GitHub App is installed under the repository owner, `ckh2100-ctrl`, with access to **All repositories**. 2. The Vercel project is connected to `ckh2100-ctrl/fithub-foundation`, with the correct repository ID and production branch. 3. The successful commit (`8a84a249`) and failing commit (`5193a615`) have identical author and committer names and email addresses. 4. Vercel records the GitHub author login as `ckh2100-ctrl` for both deployments. 5. The failure occurs before the build starts, with zero deployment events and no build logs. We will separately verify that the commit email is registered with the GitHub account and that the GitHub App installation is associated with the correct Vercel team. Since the successful and failing commits have identical author metadata, could you please clarify whether there is a specific mismatch visible in Vercel's internal logs? We would appreciate a safe recovery procedure that does not require disconnecting the repository or disrupting our currently healthy production deployment. Thank you. Ckh2100 3416 (@ckh2100-3416) · 2026-10-16 Hi Amy, We have now completed the commit email verification. The successful commit (`8a84a249`) and the failing commit (`5193a615`) both have exactly the same author and committer email address. That email is also the primary, verified email address on the GitHub account `ckh2100-ctrl`. Therefore, we have found no commit email mismatch. The Vercel GitHub App is installed with access to all repositories, and the project repository linkage is correct. Could you please investigate why Vercel returns `git_info_fail` before generating any build logs or deployment events? We would appreciate guidance that preserves our existing production deployment without disconnecting or reinstalling the GitHub integration. Thank you.
