For editing it yourself, I’d try connecting the v0 project to GitHub first instead of relying only on a ZIP download.
In the v0 chat, open the Git section in the sidebar, click Connect, choose your GitHub account or organization, enter a repository name, then create the repository. After that, you can clone it locally and edit it on your computer:
git clone https://github.com/your-username/your-repo.gitcd your-reponpm installnpm run dev
You can also manage the GitHub connection from the project menu ... in the top-right of the v0 chat. v0’s GitHub flow is documented here:
If the GitHub repo creation is failing, the most likely things to check are whether your GitHub account is connected to v0, whether v0 has permission to create/access the repository, and whether your browser is blocking the GitHub authorization popup.
What exactly happens when you try to create the repository: no button, popup closes, permission error, or another error message?
