# v0 manual code edits not saving in the editor

## Problem
Whenever I manually update or edit a file within the `v0` editor, the functionality to save those changes back to `v0` does not seem to be available.

## Question
Could you please look into this or advise if there is a specific workflow or shortcut I should follow to apply and save manual code edits?

Thank you for your time and help!

I’m having the same problem. It seems like, just as soon as the problem with repositories failing to sync went away, this one showed up.

i noticed that the agent does not recognise any manual file editing:

1. i made some major changes to a file
2. i asked the agent to look at the file and it said it cant see any changes
3. then i gave it a precise location of the changes and it could not see the changes

Same problem here. Sometimes it works and a few hours later the modifications are canceled or the new file removed, even if the project is already published.

This is a really frustrating problem, please fix it as soon as possible.

Thanks for the feedback! Do you have a chat link I can take a look at?

Pauline P. Narvas (@pawlean) · 2026-04-02

Can you folks share chat links with us to investigate, please?

Same issue, very frustrating.

I’m having the same problem for over a week now. It sure is really frustrating. I have to register all previous updates and manually perform them again everytime i enter a new session. That’s not cool. I’m considering migrating my work to other tools, if this is not fixed in the next couple days, fr.

TP3DConfig (@benjaminalburnipro-3) · 2026-04-08

Same position here…

We’ve been using v0 for a year and a half and have launched an online product with it.

But unless this bug is fixed quickly, we’ll have to decide to switch to a different tool in the coming days.

We simply can’t wait any longer, especially since we don’t have an ETA for when the bug will be resolved.

Can you folks share chat links for our team to look at?

Nunopereiraprof 7519 (@nunopereiraprof-7519) · 2026-04-08

here’s one of mine → https://v0.app/chat/27-final-bug-fix-2hMlMam2qP7

everytime i enter e new session every update i’ve made is not applied. For over a week now.

Pauline P. Narvas (@pawlean) · 2026-04-08

Thank you! This is useful, I've passed onto the product team.

Nunopereiraprof 7519 (@nunopereiraprof-7519) · 2026-04-08

**When can we expect a resolution? I have a significant amount of pending work on my end tbh**…..

Pauline P. Narvas (@pawlean) · 2026-04-08

They're looking into it, will loop back :D

Nunopereiraprof 7519 (@nunopereiraprof-7519) · 2026-04-09

any news or prediction? you gave me a few credits to use but as i’m not able to use them today and if they expire tomorrow they are completely useless. I’m really frustrated and not happy at all with the service.

Pauline P. Narvas (@pawlean) · 2026-04-09

Can you still prompt? The credits can be used there.

Nunopereiraprof 7519 (@nunopereiraprof-7519) · 2026-04-09

No they can’t. The first few times i was able to prompt, but now it blocks and asks me to subscribe the pro plan whenever i prompt, as well as the fact that the scripts that i manually update disapear everytime i prompted, making the prompts useless and the final result full of errors, because it builds over the scripts i edited and then it just loads the previous versions. This is just really frustrating and i’m getting my work more and more late, fr.

Pauline P. Narvas (@pawlean) · 2026-04-09

I understand your frustration. I'm sorry!

I can assure you that the engineering team are looking into this. Hopefully I'll have an update soon!

Nunopereiraprof 7519 (@nunopereiraprof-7519) · 2026-04-09

can you at least let me prompt untill the issue is solved?

The team have shipped a fix, it should be rolling out to everyone shortly. :)

Nunopereiraprof 7519 (@nunopereiraprof-7519) · 2026-04-09

There’s something different, but it’s still not working properly:

The fix did not fix anything at all. I’m still not able to save my work nor to prompt. I’m really close to giving up on v0 tbh….

system (@system) · 2026-04-09

Help us help you! 👋

It looks like your post is missing a project link. If you can, please share a v0 chat link (set to `Unlisted`) so we can dive into the details with you.

If you’re currently seeing errors or just waiting for a response, a quick tip is to duplicate your chat. This can sometimes bypass a specific error state and get you back to building while a human takes a look at your original post.

Pauline P. Narvas (@pawlean) · 2026-04-09

Could you try connect a Git repo to it?

Nunopereiraprof 7519 (@nunopereiraprof-7519) · 2026-04-09

I did, it says it’s commited but when i openned the project in github it still had the previous unsaved version of the scripts. I’m getting insane with this…..

Pauline P. Narvas (@pawlean) · 2026-04-09

Can you duplicate your chat and try again?
