# v0 project data loss due to sandbox instability and recovery fee dispute

Hello,

I am writing to formally express my concern regarding the current situation with my project on `v0.app`.

I have already paid **$62** for using your service. As a result of a **technical failure on your side (sandbox instability)**, my project was completely deleted. This was not caused by any action on my part.

What I find unacceptable is that I am now being asked to **pay additional fees to restore a project that was lost due to your own system error**.

To be clear:

* I paid for the service.
* The project was erased due to a platform-side issue.
* “Recovery” in this case is not an additional service, but an attempt to fix the consequences of your mistake.

Requesting further payment under these circumstances is neither reasonable nor aligned with standard professional practice.

## Expected Resolution
At this stage, I expect:

1. A clear acknowledgment that the data loss occurred due to a platform error.
2. Restoration assistance without additional charges.
3. Clarification on how such incidents are prevented in the future.

Please consider this message a formal complaint. I am interested in a fair and constructive resolution, but I will not agree to pay for correcting an error that was not mine.

Regards,
Pavel Kazaryan

Hey Pavel,

I'm really sorry to hear about this frustrating situation with your v0 project being lost due to sandbox instability. I completely understand your concern about being asked to pay additional fees for recovery when the data loss wasn't your fault.

To help our team investigate this properly, could you share your v0 chat link? It will look something like `https://v0.dev/chat/...` and will help us see exactly what happened with your project.

Also, if you have any screenshots or details about when you were asked to pay for recovery, that would be helpful context for the team to review.

Thanks for providing all the other details - this will definitely be escalated to the right team members to get this sorted out for you.

Hello,

I have checked the chat archive as suggested.

The archive is **empty** — there is no project or chat available for restoration.

Please advise on the next steps, given that the project cannot be recovered from the archive and the data loss occurred during an active platform incident.

Regards,
Pavel Kazaryan
