However, after enabling `GitHub` integration and creating a new repository, all of my project files disappeared. The only remaining file in the project is the `README`. This was extremely frustrating, as a significant amount of development work appears to have been lost. Enabling `GitHub` should not delete existing project files — ideally, it should migrate or sync the current codebase to the newly connected repository, not overwrite or remove it. ## Requested Actions 1. Investigate what caused the deletion 2. Restore my missing files and code as soon as possible 3. Clarify how `GitHub` integration is supposed to behave in this scenario This project contains important development work, so I would appreciate urgent assistance. MarnixB (@marnix-3108) · 2026-02-18 Hi Baytech, Sorry to hear that you lost your files… i really hope this was a bug and not the expected/normal behaviour, otherwise i will face the same issue as you. @pawlean is this normal behaviour when syncing a existing project to a new github? Sean (@heystu) · 2026-02-18 · ♥ 1 This is definitely not a normal action. I just integrated GitHub to a project I was working on (did this today) and nothing was deleted. I have integrated GitHub to almost all of my projects and have never had this happen. So I would say this is either a major bug or a possible error you may have missed. You did not integrate to git and then delete main or anything or rewrite with an empty file right? Are you able to share any screenshots from v0 and / or github that show when / where this happened (blur out any private info of course). This may help in short term trouble shooting. I think best thing to do though will be to share the chat link to this project so we can take to the dev team and they can investigate further.
