# v0 shows Out of Credits error despite having referral credits

## Problem
I still have 5 gifted credits from referral, but v0 shows "Out of Credits".

## What I've Tried
- Logging out and logging in again (did not work).

Hi, I’m experiencing the same issue.

My account still shows **Gifted Credits**, but v0 is still asking me to **upgrade my plan** before I can continue using it. My user ID: **elirg0903-9428**

## Problem
v0 is reporting "Out of Credits" even though there are gifted credits available in the account balance.

## Current Behavior
- Monthly credits: `$0.00 / $5.00` (Exhausted)
- Gifted credits: `$50.00` (Available)
- Total available credits: `$50.00` 

Despite having a balance from a referral, v0 displays the following error:

## Problem
Hello, I have $20 in `Gifted Credits` and `Total Available Credits` shows $20, with expiration on Apr 22, 2026. However, `v0` says "Out of Credits" and asks me to upgrade once my `Monthly Credits` reached $0 / $5.

I am experiencing an issue with the v0 platform. My account currently shows that I have available referral credits, but whenever I attempt to generate a prompt, the system displays an "Out of Credits" error.

## Solution summary

To fix this, the Vercel team deployed a backend update to the credit consumption logic to ensure all available credit types are correctly recognized. If the error persists, users should verify they are in the correct account scope or contact Vercel support with their User ID to trigger a manual balance synchronization.

I already had a previous ticket and they asked me to open another one because the problem persists. I can work with some credits, sometimes around $3, and then it stops and does the same thing again.
