My account was paused after my project exceeded the Free (Hobby) plan usage limits. When I open my dashboard, I see the message:
"Upgrade to resume service."
My understanding was that Free tier usage resets at the start of each new billing cycle, and that the account/service would resume automatically once the new period began. However, my usage period has already rolled over, and my account is still paused. The service has not resumed on its own.
A few details about my situation:
- I am on the Free (Hobby) plan and this is a personal / non-commercial project.
- The pause was triggered by exceeding the Free tier limits during the previous cycle.
- The new billing cycle has already started, but the account remains paused and still shows the "Upgrade to resume service" message.
- I have not made any changes to my plan, and I'd prefer to stay on the Free tier if possible.
My questions:
- Is automatic resumption after a usage reset expected behavior, or does a paused account require manual reactivation?
- If manual action is required, what is the correct way to resume service without upgrading to a paid plan?
- Is there anything I need to do on my side (e.g., reduce usage, remove a specific project) before the account can be unpaused?
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. If a staff member needs my account email or project details to look into this, I'm happy to share them privately.
Thank you!
