Blob Storage deleted unexpectedly – no audit trail
Describe the bug One of our Blob Storage instances was deleted without any action from our team. We have no visibility into who performed the deletion, when it occurred, or what triggered it.
Expected behavior Blob Storage should only be deletable by an authorized team member through an explicit action, and the event should be logged with a timestamp and actor identity.
What we observed
- The storage was found to be missing with no prior warning or notification.
- No team member claims to have deleted it.
- No deletion event was visible in our dashboard activity.
Questions for the community / Vercel team
- Is there an audit log for Blob Storage delete operations?
- Can a storage instance be deleted by an automated process or misconfigured integration?
- Is recovery of a deleted Blob Storage or its contents possible?
