Submissions to the Verified Bots directory form at https://bots.fyi/new-bot are currently failing. Every attempt returns the error "Failed to create GitHub issue: Bad credentials" immediately after clicking Submit, regardless of the values entered (screenshot attached). Reproduced on 2026-09-09 from chrome browsers.

I contacted Vercel Help first; their reply confirmed that this is a server-side issue — the GitHub API token or app credential used by the bots.fyi backend to open the submission issue has expired or become invalid — and asked me to report it here so the maintainers can refresh the credential and restore submissions.

Could the team responsible for bots.fyi please update the GitHub credential?

For context, we are trying to list the Daum search crawler (Daum Corp., South Korea; User-Agent token Daum/4.1, IP-list verification via https://webmaster.daum.net/crawler/daumbot.json). We also submitted it on 2026-08-21 without seeing an error, but it never appeared in the directory, so that earlier submission may have been lost as well. Once the form is working again we will resubmit — or if a maintainer can pick it up directly from this thread, the full details are ready.
