I’m volunteering with a non-profit and I want to create a new team to host their website. I cannot sign up for a hobby team. So instead, I signed up for the Pro Trial and then downgrade. I had three different hobby teams created before (my own personal projects, a previous company I no longer work at, and a company I was going to start but then decided against it. When I went to downgrade, it said I was at the limit.. okay, fine.. so I proceeded to delete one of the other teams. Then i tried again, still at the limit. Now, mind you, it never said a limit anywhere. But so I though, okay.. well maybe they have it limited to 2. So I deleted the other hobby team, and it still wouldn’t let me downgrade the other one. Finally I used the AI chat, and it said that you all are limiting the hobby plan to only 1 team, and instead I’d need to make a separate account if I wanted to have the non-profit work separated. Surely you don’t actually want a bunch of duplicate accounts, right??
In the mean time, I’m now regretting closing the previous teams because I could have just renamed one of those. I’m furious. You all used to be better, but I guess this is just the enshittification of Vercel.
