careerai.qd.je cannot be verified - Vercel asks for _vercel.qd.je - Help

Hello Vercel Team,

I am trying to connect my DigitalPlat domain careerai.qd.je to my Vercel project.

Vercel shows:

"This domain is linked to another Vercel account. To use it with this project, add a TXT record at _vercel.qd.je to verify ownership."

I own and control the delegated domain careerai.qd.je through DigitalPlat. I do not control the parent qd.je zone.

I added the exact TXT verification record provided by Vercel:

Type: TXT Name: _vercel Value: vc-domain-verify=careerai.qd.je,8714de49a37072bf64ce TTL: 300

The DNS provider is DigitalPlat.

The domain's CNAME is also configured exactly as Vercel requests:

careerai -> 4c67e6627d961614.vercel-dns-017.com.

However, Vercel still shows "Verification Required" and continues asking for a TXT record at _vercel.qd.je.

Because I only control careerai.qd.je and not qd.je, I cannot create _vercel.qd.je at the parent zone.

Please check the domain ownership/association on Vercel's side and manually release/verify careerai.qd.je for my account/project.

It's asking for TXT record to verify that you're not stealing someone else's domain. careerai.qd.je is a subdomain, so the verification record needs to be associated with the root domain. That's why it's expected to be on _vercel.qd.je for verification to succeed.

Instead, you can use the free *.vercel.app domain provided by Vercel, choose from one of the other free domain providers using recognized public suffixes, or buy your own custom domain.
