Hello Vercel team,
Vercel Agent referred me to the Community because Vercel MCP is currently in beta.
I am experiencing a persistent authorization issue with the official Vercel integration in ChatGPT.
Environment
- Vercel workspace:
boteroge-3041 - Plan: Hobby
- Integration: Official Vercel MCP connector in ChatGPT
- Intended access: Read existing projects, domains, and deployment statuses
Problem
The OAuth authentication process completes successfully. ChatGPT shows my Vercel connection as active and Primary, and the Vercel authorization screen displays my workspace's projects.
However, the MCP integration cannot access the workspace.
Read-only diagnostic results
get_auth_usersucceeds and identifies the correct Vercel account.list_teamsreturns an empty array:teams: [].get_teamusing the known workspace/team ID returns HTTP 403 Forbidden.list_projectsusing the same ID also returns HTTP 403 Forbidden.
The error says:
Not authorized: Trying to access resource under scope "boteroge-3041". You must re-authenticate to this scope or use a token with access to this scope.
Troubleshooting already completed
- Confirmed the correct Vercel account is connected.
- Confirmed that the Vercel dashboard is accessible normally.
- Reconnected the integration from ChatGPT.
- Repeated the OAuth authorization process.
- Granted the requested access.
- Retested the MCP connection after authorization.
- Confirmed the same 403 error persists.

Could the Vercel MCP engineering team investigate whether the OAuth token has the correct workspace scope?
Could this also be related to authorization differences between personal Hobby workspaces and team accounts?
I can provide the complete workspace/team ID and additional diagnostic information privately if required.
No projects or deployments have been modified.
Thank you for your assistance.
