Clarification on Duplicate Vercel Community Leaderboard Rankings

Hi everyone,

I noticed something unusual regarding the rankings displayed for me on the “Vercel Community Leaderboard.” It appears that two different routes are showing varying ranks, which seems strange.

  1. Vercel Community@3 [ending with 3] - All-time rank: 37
  2. Vercel Community@1 [ending with 1] - All-time rank: 53

Could someone explain to me how this works? I understand how the stars (rank) are calculated, but I’m unclear on why the ranks differ between these two routes.

Looking forward to your insights.

Thanks,
Chintan

Hi @techchintan, you should be looking at the https://community.vercel.com/leaderboard/3, which is also linked in the left hand navigation on desktop.

May I know where you got the link to the other leaderboard?

Hi @anshumanb,

Thanks for your reply! I don’t remember the exact details, but I’m confident I shared the link somewhere, either on social media or in the my company’s Slack. When I checked it today through the “Leaderboard” tab in the sidebar, it seems to be displaying differently.

I believe the link was originally at @1, but now it shows up at @3. I hope the old path can be blocked and redirected to the new @3 path.

Please let me know if you need me to provide any additional information.

Thanks,
Chintan

@anshumanb @pawlean any thoughts guys? I am curios to know more about this.

@techchintan, the left hand navigation link is the one you should use. The other leaderboard is also a valid one but it has a different use case. That’s why we can’t redirect it to the other one. I hope this answers your question.
