Claude Max subscription did not route through AI Gateway and ended up using my AI credits

With Claude Code Max - Claude Code and Claude Agent SDK

I set this up based on the instructions here. I made sure that I was exporting all the right things and not exporting any Anthropic API keys. I was logged in on my Claude Max subscription.

I tried a login and logout after I ran out of the AI Gateway credits, and it still gives me a 402. I could not get my Claude Max subscription to route through the AI Gateway to monitor usage and ended up burning all of my AI credits without meaning to.

I reverted all of my edits and i am using it without the gateway.

being able to use it in cli and claude app would be great in the future
