Hiya, quick question with respect to the TOS.
Basically the Vercel TOS says you cant host a commerical project on the hobby plan.
My app has a fully fledged free tier and is completely OSS.. it just has a small 5$ one time paid plan mostly to help support the project… is that also not allowed?
Asking for donations dosen’t really work if the end user dosen’t get something back in return

Great question. Key guidelines in the Fair Use Policy are:
Commercial usage is defined as any Deployment that is used for the purpose of financial gain of anyone involved in any part of the production of the project
and
Asking for Donations does not fall under commercial usage.
Is this site for your or anyone else’s financial gain? Does the $5 you’re requesting qualify as a donation?

It sounds like your site has a $5 is an upgrade payment rather than a donation. In that case it seems more like commercial usage.
But I don’t know all the specifics of your site traffic or the amount of upgrades happening. It’s entirely possible that I’ve misunderstood your situation, I don’t have the full picture like you do, and I’m definitely not a lawyer. 
Well technically it is an upgrade.. but that’s mostly for a small thing to give someone who does want to donate.. but I see what you mean. So if I remove that I shld be fine right?
