Credit Balance Removed from Profile Dropdown?

For Why?

Is there anyway to turn it back on?

FWIW, here’s what I see. I think they moved it to a different popover!

Hey! Appreciate it! I know its available in the actual profile page. It’s really helpful to see it in projects so I can keep track of what my prompts and tool calls are costing, actively.

It’s just a small change but right now I have to have another tab open and constantly switch tabs to see the tokens deplete. I wouldn’t mind if the that popover was in the project view itself. As long as I can see it within my project view.

First world problems. I know.

Yeah, I see what you’re saying now. I’d like it back on the per-project view as well!

Yes, put that back please @anshumanb and @pawlean.

We literally monitor that every prompt. In fact the entire time the model is working I’m watching it live. This lets us create spend efficiency. Has to go back please.

Hate to do the platform comparison thing but, bolt.new shows the remaining tokens in the section above your prompt chat window.

Recently cancelled my sub for reasons :kissing_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Cursor doesn’t do this BUT they have a pretty comprehensive breakdown of token usage in your profile. I’m okay with this trade off because of how granular the usage report is and the LLM options. And it was never really there to begin with as far as I can remember.

I just want back what was lost.

Also its the weekend. Wouldn’t expect to hear back till Monday realistically.

Hi everyone, thanks for your feedback. I also liked the Credit Balance in the dropdown.

Let me share this with the team.

Simply Indeed.

Since the recent update that moved the Credit Balance to the top toolbar, it’s no longer visible on the Project Details page.

Previously, I could still check it by clicking the avatar menu:

At the moment, the Credit Balance is only visible on the New Chat page, and there’s no way to see it from the Project Details page, which is quite inconvenient.

Is this intentional or an oversight? It would be great to have the visibility restored or an alternative way to access it in Project Details page.

Gah, this is annoying. I’m keeping a “New Chat” tab open just to see how many credits are left. It was an unhelpful change. (Love you!… but still)

I saw the update—but it looks like there’s a misunderstanding of what users actually need.

Right now, the Profile dropdown only shows the total credits.

What we need is the detailed credit breakdown, visible immediately without extra navigation.

On the Project page, please consider one of the following:

  • Show the full credit details in the top toolbar, just like on the New Chat page
  • OR restore the previous behavior, where the Profile dropdown displayed the detailed credit info.

The current implementation doesn’t solve the visibility problem. We need quick access to credit details, not just the total count.

If you also think this should be fixed in one of the above ways, please +1 or like to help get attention.

Hmm so I do appreciate it being back. While I appreciate it being back I honestly prefer the previous iteration. Being able to see the Gifted, Monthly and Purchased credits has its benefits.

If I see a $2 gifted credit in there sometimes I turn on Mini and ask it some random questions or take a chance on an iteration that might pay off.

It really helps make better informed decisions. If its my money I’ll be very strict with my spend. If its NOT my money I may try something new.

Ultimately, thank you for listening, sincerely. Having it back helps the workflow.

May please be what was previously? :head_shaking_vertically:
