Summary
I'm experiencing an intermittent connectivity issue affecting users in Morocco.
Project:
- Domain: https://neba-crm.cloud
- WWW: https://www.neba-crm.cloud
- Backend: https://app.neba-crm.cloud
- Hosting: Vercel (frontend) + VPS (backend)
Symptoms
Some users receive:
ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT
before any TLS or HTTP negotiation when opening:
The issue remains even when switching between Wi-Fi and 5G.
Most users can access the application normally.
Diagnostics already performed
- DNS configuration is valid.
- TLS certificates are valid.
- Vercel reports 0% Function Errors.
- Vercel reports 0% Function Timeouts.
- Backend (NestJS + Docker + PostgreSQL + Nginx) is healthy.
- No Prisma errors.
- No backend crashes.
- VPS successfully reaches the custom domain.
- The frontend points to https://app.neba-crm.cloud.
- No frontend middleware or redirects causing this behavior.
The apex currently resolves to:
216.198.79.1
while www resolves through:
dd4642583ec40c7f.vercel-dns-017.com
and redirects to the apex.
Investigation
After a full production audit, the evidence suggests the request is failing before reaching Vercel.
The browser never starts the TLS handshake.
This appears very similar to other reports involving reachability issues to:
- 216.198.79.0/24
- 64.29.17.0/24
from Morocco and other regions.
Questions
Has anyone from the Vercel networking team investigated regional reachability problems to these edge ranges?
Is there any temporary workaround besides introducing another proxy (for example Cloudflare)?
I'm happy to provide traceroutes, curl output, DNS diagnostics and additional logs if needed.
