Custom domain looks different

Hi all.

Would you be able to offer some guidance?

My custom domain appears differently than *.vercel.app. It looks to be in dark mode, even though I removed that feature.

They point to the same environment (Production)…

I just added the custom domain. I transferred the NS from Amazon Route 53. I only have the default DNS records in Vercel. Should I wait a little longer for the update to propogate?

I verified that the HTML matches exactly (not sure about the external stylesheets / JS).

It is a fully static Next.js site deployed from GitHub. Here’s the repo…

Thank you for your help.

The domain troubleshooting guide can help with most custom domain configuration issues. You might be able to use that guide to solve it before a human is available to help you. Then you can come back here and share the answer for bonus points.

You can also use v0 to narrow down the possibilities.

Hey, Chris! Welcome to the Vercel Community. :waving_hand:

Can you share screenshots of what you’re seeing? Both of them look the same to me.

Hi Pauline. Thank you for taking a look. Here are the two versions of the home page.

Hi Pauline. I think I figured it out. Local storage is different for the two domains in my browser.

I will dig into this. So, I think I can close this topic. Thank you for helping!!
