I am encountering an issue where a custom subdomain seems to be stuck in a ghost/cached state on Vercel's global routing configuration after its primary project was deleted.
-
Stuck Subdomain:
energy.cindral.org -
Account Type: Hobby / Personal Account
What I have tried so far:
-
Checked my account level Domains dashboard — the domain
energy.cindral.orgdoes show up there but no option to manually deleted it, the project is not loading because it is a deleted project. FYI, I've purposely made a temporary spelling mistaken subdomain to continue operations.
-
Attempted to link it to the new project via the Vercel Dashboard, which throws the "already in use" error blocking any DNS verification prompts.

-
Ran
vercel alias remove energy.cindral.orgusing the Vercel CLI, but because the old project no longer exists, it returns an error or fails to find the reference.

It seems like the domain remains locked to the deleted project's UUID internally. Could a Vercel team member please help flush/clear this stale routing reference from the database so I can re-assign it to my new project?
Thank you!
