Hi, should I be worried if I get this amount of challenged requests? what’s the impact of it?
I looked for some of the IPs doing this and they are mainly from Data Centers, but not sure what does it mean… should I manuallly block all of them?
You can learn more about how DDoS protection kicks in here: https://vercel.com/docs/security/ddos-mitigation
Generally you don’t need to. Our system will automatically detect pattern and block it if a request is suspicious.
It is really up to you whether you found this traffic are legit or not. You can further use https://vercel.com/docs/observability/monitoring#monitoring to understand the traffic pattern.
I mean, an IP doing a few hundred requests at a time is clearly not legit haha
But if the system take care of this, it’s fine. I am worried that this could incur in an augment of use of my plan for example.
I can see you are on Pro plan so it should be all good. To learn more about how Billing works, you can see here: DDoS Mitigation
You can also set up custom rules to add more protection to your site. Vercel Firewall waives CDN Requests and Fast Data Transfer for any traffic denied, challenged, or rate‑limited by WAF
