Deployments stuck in Building/UNKNOWN status, never start (0ms, no logs)

Deployments stuck indefinitely in "Building" / UNKNOWN status

Every deployment on my project gets stuck in "Building" (or UNKNOWN status in the CLI) and never progresses — no build logs appear at all, build duration shows 0ms, and it never times out or errors on its own.

This happens consistently:

With both vercel --prod (CLI) and GitHub-push-triggered deploys
Even after deleting and recreating the project from scratch
No cron jobs or scheduled functions are configured

One earlier deployment did build successfully and failed on a real code issue (missing env var), so builds aren't universally broken — they just seem to randomly never start.

Anyone else seeing this recently? Any known fix, or should this go to support directly? Happy to share project/org IDs privately if a staff member needs them to look into it.
