I cloned a chat that has design mode enabled (https://v0.app/chat/nsc-header-footer-vue3-4MVriXSoav2) by downloading the source code, pushing it to Git, and creating a new chat from my GitHub repository. However, design mode is not supported in the new chat and shows the message “design mode is currently not supported in this chat, it will be re-enabled soon…” (fix-error - v0 by Vercel) The chat has design mode disabled, while the source chat had this feature available. Do you know how to fix it?

We’re currently working on improving Design Mode at the moment so it’s been disabled. We’ll be back soon with it, please keep an eye on:

Thanks for your information. But do you have any date that the design mode will come back? We have lots of projects are depending on this feature. And some projects have this feature enabled, some not. It is very confused.
We don’t have an exact date just yet, but let me check in with our product team and will keep you updated in this thread.

Bumping this one. Same Issue. None of the chats we create using Github have the Design mode enabled anymore and we are literally copying branches from Active Chats that have design mode enabled. Super frustrating that Vercel would just rug pull features like this. Definitely makes us question using this platform at all if these are the kind of antics that are going to be played by Vercel.
Hi, I think as many other people are encountering this issue, Vercel cannot just keep silent and skip answering about the timeline to fix this issue. This issue should have the highest priority.

I hear you! Thank you again for the feedback. I promise you all that I will loop back if I hear on any updates regarding Design Mode. Right now, we’re still working on it.
One more week passed, but still no update from Vercel when Design Mode can be fixed. Vercel cannot just deploy one feature and impact/disable another critical feature for an unlimited time.
We’ll keep you updated when we hear more.
Can you state us an estimated date to bring it back? Since we are not able to use design mode we have to spend all our credits even for a little work??

This answer simply means Vercel doesn’t give priority to this critical bug. How come?

It’s not a critical bug, it was turned off on purpose as we continue to improve it
