Domain not appearing in my Vercel account

Current versus Expected behavior:

  • Current: I purchased the domain kaua.com.br on registro.br and pointed its DNS to Vercel (ns1.vercel-dns.com / ns2.vercel-dns.com). The domain does not appear in my Vercel account, and I cannot add it to a project. Accessing https://kaua.com.br/ gives 404: DEPLOYMENT_NOT_FOUND.

  • Expected: I want the domain to appear in my Vercel account so I can link it to a project.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Bought kaua.com.br on registro.br.

  2. Pointed the DNS to ns1.vercel-dns.com and ns2.vercel-dns.com.

  3. Tried adding the domain to a Vercel project.

  4. Received the message:

    “This domain is linked to another Vercel account. To use it with this project, add a TXT record at _vercel.kaua.com.br to verify ownership.”

  5. Cannot add the TXT record on registro.br because the domain is already pointing to Vercel.

Project information:

  • Framework / Stack: any (not project-dependent)

  • Domain: kaua.com.br

  • Environment: DNS already points to Vercel

Question / Help needed:
How can I add the _vercel TXT record inside Vercel, even though the domain does not appear in my account yet, to complete verification and link the domain to a project?
