there is no “redirect” option while editing the domain, as instructed in Deploying & Redirecting Domains
what am i missing?

The redirect settings are available in your project’s domain settings.
From your Dashboard, select your project, then Settings. On the left you can find “Domains” with a list of all domains associated to this particular project – from there you can update your redirects.
