Domain still linked to another Vercel account after removal

Hi Vercel Support,

I’m having an issue with a custom domain on my Vercel project.

The website is already live and working correctly on the www version of the domain. However, the apex domain is still showing “Verification Required” with the warning that the domain is linked to another Vercel account.

The domain was previously connected to another Vercel account belonging to the previous website developer. I have spoken with him and he has confirmed that he has deleted/removed the domain from his Vercel account.

I have also added the _vercel TXT verification records requested by Vercel in the domain's DNS at IONOS. The www domain is now showing Valid Configuration, but the apex domain still shows Verification Required and the “linked to another Vercel account” warning.

Could someone from the Vercel domains team please check whether the domain is still associated with the previous Vercel account and release the old association?

I have also checked the DNS propagation using Google Public DNS (8.8.8.8). The _vercel TXT record for the apex domain is publicly resolving correctly, including the exact verification value provided by Vercel. The domain is still showing “Verification Required” and “linked to another Vercel account” in the Vercel dashboard. The previous Vercel account owner has confirmed that the domain was removed from their account. Could the Vercel team please check and release the remaining account association?
