I initiated a domain transfer from wordpress to vercel, put in my payment info, paid, put in the transfer code from wordpress. Done and done. Only issue, wordpress just decided to immediately take my site down, even though both Wordpress and Vercel said it would take some time. Now wordpress doesn’t even show my domain anymore, if it did I would just create an A record and point it at my vercel prod deployment (I’ve done that in the past to test things and it worked just fine). However, right now I’m in limbo land. It doesn’t look like Vercel has control over my domain, but Wordpress has released it to them. Does anyone have any suggestions on this?
Update: Wordpress says the transfer is complete and they can’t fix it. So it’s all Vercel and I can’t even cut a ticket to vercel.
Update2: I was able to follow these instructions from WordPress, and get the DNS console back up on that side, then I just added an A record, which hopefully will buy this enough time for the transfer to complete: How to Connect a Domain to WordPress | WordPress.com Support
