I am an individual developer and a primary school teacher in Sweden. I have developed a collection of free educational web apps for children under the name “Martins jakter” (Martin’s Learning Adventures).

The apps include reading comprehension, mathematics and language learning activities. They are hosted on Vercel, and I would like to keep them free for all students to use.

I am considering adding a voluntary donation button labelled “Support Martins jakter”. Visitors would be able to support the ongoing development and hosting costs through a third-party platform such as Buy Me a Coffee or Swish. Donations would be entirely optional, and no paid features, subscriptions or other benefits would be offered in return.

I have read your Fair Use Guidelines, which state that asking for donations does not fall under commercial usage.

Before implementing this, I would appreciate clarification on the following questions:

Is this donation model permitted under the free Hobby plan?

Does it make any difference if donations are collected by me personally rather than through a registered business or non-profit organisation?

Would it be acceptable to link to an external donation platform such as Buy Me a Coffee, or to offer Swish as a donation option?

Are there any additional conditions I should be aware of?

My intention is to keep these educational apps freely accessible to children and use voluntary contributions to help cover development and hosting costs.
