I have an API Library that v0 consistently makes changes to even though:
- the files and folders are locked
- the system instructions say “DO NOT EDIT, EVER”
- every prompt I write says “DO NOT EDIT, EVER”
it is driving me around the bend.
Plus, you folks used to a nice job of communicating if someone pushed changes to the branch I am on from Github. It was simply adding a new version to the chat. It worked great. Now you do not do that. It’s a mystry if or when changes come in.
Please help…Been using heavily for some time, but this is making it impossible to stay productive…
First, I just want to flag, and hate to be a drag, but I am sad this did not get a reply or acknowledgement.
Next, after much wasted time, here is I believe the BUG causing this issue.
- We have a folder where we put the API files, and we get v0 to build a translation layer. Works well…or did.
- We have locked down the files and folders.
- However, when we upload new files or make edits to the folder that has been locked in v0, those files become unlocked. Then the LLM edits them as it pleases.
It took a while to sort this out. I would encourage you to investigate and fix should you find the same. Thanks.
BTW - in the bonus department, I would like it if you folks return to updating the chats in v0 when someone pushes something to a shared repo in v0. It happens only sometimes now (ie not in all cases), and the communication is key - to know where it happens in the chat, before or after a new version, etc.
