Environment variable value does not update in dashboard

I cannot update GOOGLE_SHEETS_CLIENT_EMAIL in my Vercel project.

The dashboard keeps showing an old value starting with “AIza…” after editing, deleting/recreating the variable, selecting Production and Preview, and redeploying.

The application requires a Google service account email ending in .iam.gserviceaccount.com. The incorrect value prevents Google Sheets authentication.

I have confirmed there is only one project-level definition. Could a team-level/shared variable or stale backend state be overriding it?

I cannot expose the full environment variable value publicly, but I can provide screenshots with sensitive values redacted.

I have a few ideas:

Do you have a .env committed in your project code?
Do you use something like GitHub Actions to deploy, which may be introducing its own env var values?
Do you have any shared environment variables configured?
