Hi Vercel team,
I’d like to share some feedback about the current pricing model.
I’m currently on the Pro plan, but my monthly usage is very low — around $3-4 of the included $20 credit. The unused credit doesn’t carry over to the next month, which feels like I’m paying for resources I don’t use.
On the other hand, if I downgrade to the Hobby plan, I hit Edge Request limits and am prompted to upgrade to Pro. There’s no option to simply purchase additional Edge Requests separately without committing to the full Pro plan.
My suggestion: It would be great to have a true “pay-as-you-go” option — where users can pay only for the resources they actually consume, without needing to commit to a fixed monthly fee. This would be especially helpful for small projects or developers with variable/low usage.
The current structure feels like an “all or nothing” choice between a free plan with hard limits and a paid plan with more than I need. A middle ground would make the platform more accessible and cost-effective for a wider range of users.
Thank you for considering this feedback!
