Feedback Thread for Bot Filter Public Beta

Hi everyone, I’m Liz Hurder, Sr. Product Marketing Manager at Vercel.

Today we are releasing our newest security feature into public beta, Bot Filter.

Our Bot Filter managed ruleset prevents bot attacks in a single click. It is available for free on all plans.

You can read more about it in our blog.

Submit your bot to allow verified bots to bypass bot filters.

During this public beta period, we want to hear from you. Post here if you have any feedback, feature requests, or experiences with Bot Filter.

Thank you!

So exciting to have this launch! Looking forward to seeing how folks work with this.

I would suggest to add Discord’s bot to the verified list. It’s used to crawl Open Graph images. Currently, pages with bot protection enabled won’t have any Open Graph images in Discord.

The user agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Discordbot/2.0; +https://discordapp.com)

Thanks for the suggestion! We’ll reach out to Discord for instructions on how we can verify requests for authenticity. I’m not seeing anything in their documentation about a fixed IP address range or reverse DNS verification.

Will the bot ruleset be paid in the future or stay free like it is right now?
