Figma integration

I’m trying to connect my Figma account to v0, but the integration fails with the following error:

{"error":true,"status":400,"message":"Invalid scopes for app"}

thx. :folded_hands:

As in you are just trying to use the “import from Figma” option? Or are you trying to conenct via MCP?

I’m using the “Import from Figma” option.

We will notify the team once more. But mostly it is likely that you may have denied some permission that it requires by mistake I would say.

Even if we assume I granted the permissions incorrectly, clicking the button immediately redirected me to an error page — the permissions screen never appeared at all. Also, the app doesn’t show up under Connected Apps in Figma.

Is the frame or section you are trying to import in a file which has “anyone can view” access set?
I just tried an import quickly and it worked fine, no issues. It was from a file with an “anyone can access”. So I wonder if you have it set to restricted. I know that can cause issues sometimes.

But as far as the app showing up under connected apps in Figma, I dont see this either in this case. I only see that when I have an MCP set up up. Are you trying to set up an MCP? Or just do the import?

Yes, I already have it set to “anyone with the link can view” and I’m still getting the same error.

can you please post a screen recording of this so we can help troubleshoot better as I am not able to replicate this issue.

I have the same error. when clicking on “Import from Figma” a modal opens telling me that I have to sign in to figma. Clicking on Sign in gives me this error:
{"error":true,"status":400,"message":"Invalid scopes for app","i18n":null}
I also cant find figma in the MCP list.

Kind regards

Hmmm so odd a few are getting this.
I literally just ran another test on this and again no issue or error warning. So I am truly unable to replicate this.

One thing though, when I use the “Import from Figma” button and it has run and works, etc, if I go back into figma it does not show any MCP connection (as it would if I was maybe connected to Cursor for example). So I think that is fine you are not seeing it either.

Now, if you are trying to add Figma as an MCP via the new MCP connector option in v0, that is another story. I have yet to try this tbh so I am not sure what will show or not etc.

But, if you are signed in to Figma, and pulling the frame / section from an “anyone can view” file, then I am not sure why you are getting this error.

Can you put in any relevant screenshots to this thread that woudl help us troubleshoot this.

only other thing I can think of is that there is maybe some sort of Auth. setting somewhere that you have set which is blocking this from happening. I cant be sure that is what is happening, but….im also running out of ideas haha.

Anything you can send in here is helpful for us and the Team to try and help more.

sorry one thing I wanted to clarify….
When you say this is happening when you click the “import form figma” button, do you mean like literally when you click that button onthe “main” screen? Or is this happening AFTER you have put in the link and run it?

Hey folks!

Thank you so much for all supporting and helping each other out here. I believe we shipped a fix for this. Can you all confirm if you’re still seeing this? If not, let’s close this thread!

I just tried again and it’s still working fine on my end.

Hoping it’s cleared up for all others.

The problem has been solved.
