We were forced to upgrade to the new editor, and it ended up breaking a previously working project.
Current Behavior
The old editor had no issues, but the new one introduces UI loading issues and even removes features (e.g., the diff comparison button is missing in migrated projects).
Honestly, it’s frustrating to see a forced upgrade introduce regressions. It’s costing us significant time to investigate and debug issues that didn’t exist before.
We need the ability to properly edit our existing projects. Could the team clarify what’s going on and whether a fix is coming?
The Diff view should still show and be there. I have migrated older projects to the “new” v0 and it shows just fine (same as with new projects). It should show here (image 1).
What UI issues are you experiencing?
Are you able to share your v0 project with the team? Can you share your v0 chat link?
It looks like https://v0.app/chat/... — you can copy it from your browser’s address bar while in the chat.
You’ll also need to unlist the chat so the team can view it — here’s how: Sharing | v0 Docs
This helps the team reproduce what you’re seeing much faster and maybe they can get to the bottom of the issues you are experiencing.
Hmmmm yeah its not showing for me either when I do that. I am not sure why I did not have that issue when I migrated my older files to new version a hwile ago (as they all show the diff toggle). But ok….very odd for sure. Hoping someone on the team will be able to take a look at this to give you a solid answer / solution.
In the meantime, have you tried just starting a new project and either importing it from a zipped file or importing via github connection. I would be curious if that works for you. Can you try one of those methods?
