GitHub "Create Repository" in v0 Question (v0 GitHub Beta feature)

Hi there,

I'm trying to figure out how exactly the GitHub integration (in Beta) in v0 works. There's a welcome message that says "v0 will push changes to a branch on this repository each time you send a message" but what exactly does that mean?

I assumed it means when I send a message via the natural language interface in v0 that then leads to a code change (which you see visually in the preview screen) but if I cross-reference GitHub, my actual number of commits seems far lower than the number of project versions in v0. So when are changes automatically pushed (if ever)?

Hi Pauline, thanks for the reply and sharing this. I think this actually might mean there's an issue (or I'm still not understanding how it works) as in the announcement it says "You can connect your chat to GitHub to either main or another branch and every new generation will be synced as a new commit" - but this hasn't been my experience with the feature as described in my message! It's what I thought it should do but the number of commits generated definitely don't match if this is actually working in this manner.
