Github Integration Deployment Names

I use the Github integration for deployments, but wish the deployment names were a bit more useful - in my case, by going off the commit name. I use merge commits for merges into main, so the deploys have the version under the commit name. I suppose one issue with allowing this would be requiring unique names, but perhaps if there was a clashing deployment name from a commit message the git SHA could be appended or something?
