Hello Vercel Community,
I'm investigating a Google Chrome Safe Browsing warning affecting a preview deployment of our educational research platform, NEXO Ciência.
Project: nexo-ciencia-qa-s1
Affected hostname: nexo-ciencia-qa-s1-irr32uirp.vercel.app
What happened:
Google Chrome displayed a red "Dangerous site" warning when accessing this preview URL.
What we have already verified:
- The Vercel deployment is READY and has no reported build errors.
- The original GitHub CI checks passed.
- Google Transparency Report returned "No data available".
- Vercel Authentication is enabled.
- We removed the affected hostname from our authentication provider's trusted origins.
- A separate dependency security audit found advisories that we are investigating. We have not established any connection between those findings and the browser warning.
Questions for the Vercel team:
- Could this preview hostname have been flagged by an automated phishing or abuse detection system?
- Is there a way to identify whether this is a false positive or a genuine security classification?
- What is the recommended procedure to investigate and resolve the warning without disabling browser security?
- Can this issue be escalated to the appropriate Vercel security team?
We are keeping the affected preview out of use while the investigation continues.
Thank you for your assistance.
