Gradie is a tool that extracts the dominant colors from any image and generates smooth, customizable gradients. Users can upload or paste images, tweak angles, shapes, and positions, and export the gradient as CSS or an image. I wanted a quick way to turn images into gradients for backgrounds, palettes, or design inspiration.

Tech stack:

  • Built with React, TypeScript, and Vite

  • Color extraction using ColorThief and colorjs.io

  • Hosted on Vercel (and domain purchased via Vercel Domains)
