Grateful for the assistance in this forum 🦃

Apologies if this looks like a fluff post that is useless. If you think so, stop reading.

I have been building AI tools for the last couple of years and it is difficult. The economics are not always straight forward. Sure, there are a lot of AI tools on the market, but few reach the level of popularity as v0, and we’re really only a couple years into widespread adoption so standard patterns and best practices for ways of working with these tools just don’t exist yet. I say this because Customer Success has a particularly powerful role here. So, thank you to the Vercel team for their support and usually their quick response.

But for @hasriza @anshumanb @pawlean and probably others who I haven’t recently spoken with here, I want to acknowledge that your job is hard, and you probably get incendiary feedback, frustration, and conspiracies 8x more often than you get praise and gratitude (we all know these threads…).

A couple of reflections:

  • For every bug report or thread (that I’ve made, or others have made), the frustration comes from a place of loving to use this tool and choosing not to use lovable or some other tool
  • For every complaint comes a desire and a belief that this tool will be even greater when fixed, and as a user, I’m excited about that becoming true
  • For every deployment, prompt that runs successfully, I’m still in awe that it has saved me weeks of time compared to the pre-v0 era
  • I should remember that most posts that don’t receive a prompt or direct answer is still most likely read by the Vercel Staff or even passed along to the eng team. Thank you

Keep it up

This means a lot, thank you for taking the time to share this with us and the wider community :heart_hands:

This is what this space is for at the end of the day: gather feedback, push product improvements and also for all of us to nerd out about how exciting this next chapter of the web is!

Glad to have you part of our community, @rtruxler! Always happy to help

Damn, that’s a :anatomical_heart:felt post right there. I’m glad to be of assistance, however I’m not part of the Vercel team (yet - maybe - idk, ask @pawlean), but thanks for including me in that post, man! :love_you_gesture:

@hasriza that’s funny. Sorry for the confusion haha — but maybe not sorry?

:100: It is, and I am happy about it! Getting tagged in an appreciation post, on the forum of a product, that I believe will change how web development works as a whole, is a big win!
May not be visible in a few years but I can always find this post if ever someone challenged my knowledge of v0 in the future :eyes:
