I obtained a free subdomain on the official website of Cloudns: frankyzqf. cloudns. ch. I want to bind it to the “GitHub readme stats” project. But when customizing the domain, it requires me to record the cname in the root domain, which I cannot do. Please tell me how to solve it. I only have DNS permission for frankyzqf.cloudns.ch, not cloudns.ch permission. )
And it says, ‘Another Vercel account is using this domain. Set the TXT record to provide ownership of the domain in order to start using it on this project. Once the verification is completed and the domain is successfully configured, the TXT record can be removed.’ Do I need to add the TXT record to the root domain? I added it to frankyzqf.cloudns.com, but it keeps showing Verification Needed
Unable to succeed. If anyone could tell me the solution, I would greatly appreciate it.
Hey @zqfranky. It looks like cloudns.com
is not on the Public Suffix List so your domain is, correctly, being treated as a subdomain for DNS configuration. That means a TXT record is needed for verification in this case.
I do see some other cloudns
suffixes on the list, so you may be able to switch to one of them as a quick solution. Otherwise, the owner needs to add cloudns.com
to the list
