I use Vercel Hobby for a compliant personal, non-commercial Next.js application that is seasonal. It may legitimately receive no visits, deployments, Git activity, or dashboard logins for four to six months.
Vercel’s current Terms say that Vercel reserves the right to terminate accounts that are inactive for an “extended period,” but I could not find a definition of that period.
For a Hobby account with an aliased production deployment, if there are zero visits, function or edge requests, deployments, Git activity, and Vercel dashboard logins for six continuous months:
- Can six months trigger deletion, termination, suspension, renaming, URL reclamation, or removal of the account, project, production alias, environment variables, or currently aliased production deployment?
- Would the production application serve automatically when it is next visited, without a dashboard login or manual resume?
- What activity counts as account activity for this policy?
- Is advance notice sent before any inactivity-related action?
- If something is removed or suspended, what recovery period and procedure apply?
- Is there an official policy page that documents these answers?
I am not asking about cleanup of older, unaliased deployments. I am specifically asking about the active production deployment and account after legitimate seasonal dormancy. I will not use artificial keepalive traffic.
Please answer specifically for the current Hobby plan.
