Hostname IP

Hello everyone,

To put the Vercel DNS on my domain provider it asks me for the DNS IP but I looked everywhere and I can’t find it concerning the Vercel DNS.

Thank you for your help

The domain troubleshooting guide can help with most custom domain configuration issues. You might be able to use that guide to solve it before a human is available to help you. Then you can come back here and share the answer for bonus points.

You can also use v0 to narrow down the possibilities.

Hey, @kennedyonlin-6578! Welcome to the Vercel Community :waving_hand:

From relevant documentation:

Nameservers are the actual servers on the network that are responsible for resolving domain names to the IP addresses where your site is hosted. Most domain registrars, including Vercel, provide their own nameservers. For Vercel these are:

  • ns1.vercel-dns.com
  • ns2.vercel-dns.com

In your case, it seems that you need to update your domain provider’s settings to use nameserves instead of IP addresses.

Hello Pauline, thank you for your reply. Yes, it is impossible to change the Nameservers at the moment. Fortunately, there is an alternative with changes in DNS to point the site. Thank you for your help.
