How to build a Vercel and Next.js developer community on campus

Hi everyone! :waving_hand:

I’m Nisarg Anand, a student at Sardar Patel Institute of Technology and an active member of the Student Developers Club at my college. I’m passionate about modern web development and regularly participate in hackathons, where I enjoy building and shipping projects using modern tools.

I’m really interested in promoting Vercel and the v0 ecosystem among students on my campus. My goal is to organize workshops, demo sessions, and collaborative events to help students learn Next.js, Vercel deployment, and modern frontend workflows.

Through these initiatives, I’d love to build a Vercel-focused community in my college, encouraging more students to experiment, build, and deploy their projects using Vercel.

I’d really appreciate any guidance or support from the Vercel Community team or anyone who has built similar campus communities before.

Thanks!

Hi @nisarganand541-8212, welcome to the Vercel Community!

I’m so happy to see your enthusiasm here. I’d suggest starting small and building v0 projects with them in hackathons or college competitions.

Once you have a solid foundation of organizing and managing small events, you can also use our https://meetup-sdk.vercel.com/ to organize a meet up and we’ll support you there.

Let me know if you have any specific questions.
