Hi guys, how to remove a domain completely from a Vercel project?
Problem
I already removed/deleted the domain from the domains settings at both the project and account level. However, when I try to connect that same domain to another Vercel account, I cannot. It tells me it’s still connected to the old project.
Steps Taken
Deleted domain from project settings.
Deleted domain from account level.
Attempted to connect to a new account.
Current Behavior
I receive an error stating the domain is already connected to another project, preventing me from adding it to the new account.
Is this a custom domain or a .vercel.app domain? Could you share a screenshot of the error you see on the new project when adding this domain? Please hide any sensitive information from the screenshot.
Hi @zeljoramljak64-4146, it seems like the domain you shared is configured with another team as well, which you are not part of. I’d request you to check internally if someone else set it up with another Vercel team. If not, I’d recommend reaching out to Help with the Domain ownership details to have it see what are your options to remove it from Vercel.

Yeah that’s clear to me, but when I go into that second team (other account) I can not remove it from there because it does not exists anymore there. I’ve already removed it from interface.
